Inner Feng Shui: 4-Air/Heart Chakra

This mandala has 12 green petals surrounding a bold red circle with a heart at the center. The 6-pointed green foil star is a combination of an upward and downward pointed triangle; this is one of the simplest symbols representing the heart chakra.  Notice in all the flower pieces, the petal’s color is contrasted by its’ complimentary color in the center circle. This reveals the inherent dualistic nature of our experience within a polarity system. All energy healing aims towards integration of within/without towards unity consciousness.  Below the chakra flower image is an organic heart shape, within which lies cloud shapes, symbolic of the Air element.  Air relates to more subtle emotional states, as the heart chakra is the seat of higher love frequencies, such as loving kindness and joy; calming emotional fluctuations is possible through meditative practices focusing upon compassion.  Gemstones present help to protect us from negative energies (Malachite), rebalance emotions (Unakite) and cultivate joy, good luck and prosperity (Green Aventurine).
